We feel that America, by turning a blind eye to Israeli excesses in the aftermath of September 11, and by continuing to arm and aid the Israeli regime in spite of its persistent violation of UN resolutions and unwillingness to become party to international treaties (e.g. nuclear non-proliferation; weapon inspections) has a direct responsibility for the deaths of countless Palestinian innocent civilians whose only crime seems to be that they were born on the land of their forefathers which Israel in its santising and expansionist drive wants for itself. The rhetoric of war against terrorism and the support for a peaceful solution to the world's problem sound evermore hollow if double standards are so blatantly applied.
